Sophie Lovett had her first major acting role was as Miranda in The Tempest in 1992. Since then she has performed in numerous theatre productions whilst at school and university, notably The Importance of Being Earnest at the Etcetera theatre and on tour in Prague. She went on to train at Drama Studio London, which was followed by roles in Three Sisters at the Greenwich Playhouse, Floodtide’s The Change Project and various devised plays as well as several short films. Sophie has also worked as assistant director on several productions including Shakuntala at the Gate theatre (dir. Indhu Rubasingham) and directed and produced Sartre’s Huis Clos. Her work with TheatreActive and ChickenShed lured her into education, and she is currently gathering inspiration teaching English, Drama and Media on the Isle of Dogs.This is Sophie’s first feature film.
